When you purchase a piano from Classic Pianos, you’ll enjoy the freedom and flexibility to trade it in and receive a store credit to be applied to a new, in-stock piano of equal or greater value. The amount of your trade-in value and the length of your policy are determined by the piano you purchase:

At any point, trade in your model to receive a store credit for 100% of your original purchase.
  • Digital and Hybrid Pianos — Two- and Five-Year 100% Trade-up Policy
Within two years of your piano’s date of purchase, trade it in for a 100% store credit on any piano of greater value. Within five years of your piano’s date of purchase, trade it in for a 100% store credit on any piano double in value.
  • Silent, TransAcoustic, and Disklavier Pianos — Two-Year 100% and Lifetime 70% Trade-up Policy
Within two years of your piano’s date of purchase, trade it in for a 100% store credit on any piano of greater value. At any point after that, trade in your piano and receive store credit for 70% of your original purchase.

A Love of Pianos: A Family Heritage

To say the Unis family’s history is steeped in pianos would be an understatement. In fact, the history of Classic Pianos stretches far back, past its initial founding, to when the company’s owner, Maurice Unis was a child.

Maurice grew up around pianos. He was trained in piano restoration by his grandfather, Maurice T. Schuster, who helped hone his skills on vintage age pianos. The elder Maurice, a violinist and piano tuner, owned the Acme Piano Company in Sellwood and even played with the Portland Symphony Society at President Roosevelt’s Dedication of Timberline Lodge in 1937.
